My Best Lesson Plans

To date my favorite lesson plan is a lesson centered around the mystery that is Dr. Theodore Seuss Geisel.  The students watch a  short but information packed documentary on the late children's author and his political views during the nineteen twenties and thirties.  The students then work in partners deciphering Dr. Seuss's early political cartoons and their true meaning.  The lesson also works in history of the second world war and key political players of the time period.
